Why attend a lesbian
women-only childbirth education class? Well, have you ever felt
like the "token lesbian" in a gathering of people? Then this is the class
for you. This class was created to provide a safe and comfortable space to
explore pregnancy, birth, and motherhood within the context of being a
lesbian couple.
You get all the content,
interaction, and activities of a full childbirth preparation series in a Friday
night, and all-day Saturday and Sunday format. Classes run from
6:00-9:00pm on Friday evening, and all day Saturday and Sunday from 9:00am to
5:00pm.
Lesbian Weekend immersions are offered
once a quarter. Class fee is $225 per couple (other support
people are welcome to attend the full series for an additional $25).
The fee includes your own copy of the Birthing From Within 'Keepsake
Journal'. This journal is a beautiful book that you can
use to document your pregnancy, birth, and parenting journey. You can write,
draw, and paint in it, and keep notes throughout class. It provides many
additional activities and tools for you to explore beyond what we will do in the
classroom.
