BIRTH  ART  EXPLORATION

Explore your thoughts, ideas, feelings, and beliefs about birth through art!  This 6-hour workshop is intended for anyone interested in birth...  Expectant women and men, couples contemplating pregnancy, grandparents, women who want to review past birth experiences, childbirth professionals, etc.

Two experienced facilitators* will lead you through individual and group art projects using two- and three-dimensional art forms.   Process painting, guided visualizations, iconography, sculpture, collage, non-dominant hand work, and journaling are some of the techniques that may be used.  Mediums include paper, paints, pastels,

crayons, markers, clay, and found objects.  Artistic ability or experience are NOT required!

Class fee is $40-$80 (sliding scale - pay what you can), and includes all art materials and snacks.  You should bring your own lunch, and protective covering for your clothing.  Pre-registration is required.

NOTE:  This class will be held at the University Heights Community Center, not at Big Belly Services.
