WORKSHOP  DETAILS

What to Bring

What Not to Bring

Sample Schedule

What to bring
Bedding/towels, flashlight, water bottle, clock, lots of layers of clothes, walking shoes, rain gear, and caffeinated beverages if you want them.

For comfort in the classroom, you may also bring a yoga mat, pillow, and/or birth ball (also known as exercise or physio-ball).

While snow is very unlikely in September, do check the current weather conditions and weather forecast and bring traction devices for your vehicle if snow is possible.

What not to bring
Pets, burnables (candles, incense), electric devices (hairdryers, curling irons, coffee makers), recreational drugs or alcohol.

Please do not use perfume, cologne or scented toiletries.

There is no public phone use at Breitenbush
Due to very limited capacity public phone access is for Emergency Use only.  Breitenbush is out of cellular phone range. Please make all necessary phone calls from Detroit on your way in.

Wheelchair Accessibility
Breitenbush has a very limited number of wheelchair accessible rooms and cabins. The workshop spaces in the lodge are accessible by ramp. However, our unpaved paths are narrow and sometimes steep. Access to bathing areas requires mobility. An assistant or companion is highly recommended.
